Open Weave Bolga Shopping Basket

Natural and undyed, the lower portion of this handy and stylish shopper features an open weave design. The leather handles are comfortable carrying making this the perfect accessory for market trips and days out.

Made from indigenous veta vera grass – which produces wonderfully balanced and sturdy basketry – the preparation process is lengthy. Grass is harvested, split, hand-rolled and dyed in boiling water before a skilled weaver sets to work.

Made in Northern Ghana by weaving cooperatives.
