What a year
What an amazing year we've had!
We've completely changed our logo to something we think suits us far better.
We're stocking brands we love and have more home made items than we've ever had before. We trashed the shop and re-arranged it so the layout is much more to our liking.
Our craft workshops have become increasingly popular, we're really proud of the fantastic skills people can now learn in the studio.
We threw an amazing (if we do say so ourselves!) craft party, 80+ lovely, fun and crafty people came along and had a great time.
We managed to capture a swarm of honey bees that decided cause a raucous on Park Street.
Nic and I moved to Leamington, which means we're closer to the shop and all of our friends.
Our knit and natter has grown more popular, we have several new faces that come along almost every week, as well as many more that pop along when they get chance.
We have a new partner, who we adore and appreciate beyond measure.
Blog posts have been a little sparse recently. We've been very busy in the shop with Christmas, it has been our most successful month since we opened in May 2012. Thank you to all of our customers for helping us to stay open, we really appreciate it, we love our shop and all really enjoy working there.
We decided not to have a stall on the Christmas Markets this year. It was a tough choice, but turned out to be the right one. Instead, we decided to put our efforts in to selling online. Notonthehighstreet.com invited us to list our goods with them over a year ago, in a bizarre turn of events - I had emailed them about a customer return we received for the previous tenants, which caused them to look at us and what we do. We finally felt ready to take them up on their kind offer (we previously thought our photos weren't good enough, and we needed to increase our stock holding to cover both shop sales and online sales).
Our NOTHS shop went live during the first week in December. We were pleasantly surprised to find that shoppers seemed to like our stuff. A few hundred orders later, we are now very good friends with the courier who collects them! We're now wondering why we didn't do it sooner?
We're looking forward to 2014. We are bursting with ideas and can't wait to see them come to fruition!
