Much to Gladys and Beryl's delight, ManE has returned from his long stay in the U S of A. We've been  enjoying pictures of  ManE's adventures over on his Knitted Man blog. Judging by the delicious looking food he helped Zoë and Paul eat, we're surprised he can still fit in his knitted jumper!

Yes, I went to the cinema, visited Warwick University, made a quiche and watched X-men movies back to back whilst knitting (yes, me, knitting. Continental style and everything), so completely forgot to blog yesterday! Sorry!

Ok. So here's the thing I was working on last week and failed to complete! I got some magnetic strip, covered it in Washi and trimmed the edges in to either torn-looking edges or sharp flag-style edges. They work a treat on my boring notice board!

I spent this afternoon making something cool for Washi Wednesday, really I did. It involved a craft knife and a cutting mat. I mounted something on a wall, cleaned something, found some pretty things (and pretty boys) to go with it. I grabbed my camera, got it in focus and pressed the button. Only to find my memory card is still at the shop. I'm sorry Washi lovers, I just couldn't be bothered to...

At first, it was scary and looked like this:
But then it became magical, and now looks like this:

Today's find is a set of six 70's (we think) Pyrex Drinkups. We've had squat ones before, (click here to see some of them), but I like that these are tall as they're great for lattes! Additionally, multiple colours means Amy can display them in rainbow order.

Amy has covered one of our light switches in washi! Oh, the joy. We've been joined in our washi-worship today by Kiara over at Bakery Cakery. It's catching.

Thank you all, so, so much! All 75+ people (we lost count), that came to our Etsy craft party and made it fabulous.

We ate, drank and crafted. We carved rubber stamps, made cardboard owls, sewed felt brooches, made macrame bracelets, drilled and glued key rings, made washi tape jewellery, knitted, nattered and generally had a ball!

Our Friday Finds this week come from all of us, and have been accumulated over several years, but they are finds nonetheless! Amy, Zoë and I all adore vintage fabrics, especially retro bedding. In order to make anything fun with it, we think you need at least two contrasting bits. So we have pooled our collections to make these fabulous fabric packs!

This week's Washi Wednesday is from Zoë. We have already had washi-covered pegs, but this time we've gone miniature! The pegs Zoë used have a teeny magnetic strip on the back, so can attach mini notes or labels to appropriate metal surfaces, like say fridges or cake tins. Mmmm....cake....
